NRS Meriden Aggregates
At our Meriden site we use an excavator digger to extract materials from the ground which consist of mixed sands and gravels. These materials are transported onsite to a storage pile before going through our processing plant that washes and segregates the sands from the gravels.
Oversize stones are crushed into smaller more manageable sizes using our cone crusher. The gravels are graded to single sizes for storage and selling. Sands are washed and also graded to a soft sand and a coarse sand and placed in storage for selling.
Products available at Meriden:
- 20mm gravel
- 10mm gravel
- Concrete sand (coarse)
- Building sand (soft)
We also produce a small amount of extra fine soft sand for those looking for a cheaper product. Depending on customers’ requirements, we can also blend gravel and sand back together to produce a ballast material.
NRS can also offer clay materials for use as back fill for roads and bridges. This product is also used to create temporary roads and ramps for motorcycle exhibition events.
We use our own fleet of tippers to deliver the final, graded materials to customers’ sites.
NRS Environmental Services
NRS Environmental Services Ltd complements our existing quarrying activities. Here we operate our own EA permitted hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment facility.
Operating one of the largest hazardous treatment centres for construction waste in the UK we offer an extensive range of services to the industry.
Our treatment activities include crushing, screening, segregation, handpicking and soil washing. These processes produce secondary aggregates which are supplied as a recycled product through NRS Wastecare.
As licensed waste carriers we can provide collection and removal through our own fleet of vehicles. With our in-house laboratory facility we can determine if your waste is hazardous and therefore what the most cost-effective and compliant treatment process is available to you.
