An opportunity has arisen at NRS Group of Companies for a General Quarry Operative based at a number of our Quarries. NRS specialise in aggregates supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands.

The role entails:
· General duties around the quarry and in the main yard
· Grass cutting
· Emptying bins.
· Keeping the main yard tidy
· Keeping the workshop tidy
· Assessing stocks of Oil and Ad blue
. Operating Telehandler (training can be provided)
· Cleaning windows
· Cleaning spillages from around the processing plant
· Maintaining the weighbridge deck and keeping it free from spillage
· Litter picking
· Fence and stone wall maintenance
· Ad hoc duties

The successful candidate:
· Ability to work on own initiative and take direction from the quarry management
· Be able to prioritise workload to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner that suits the quarry operations
· Hardworking and proactive in their approach to the task to ensure quarry operations continue smoothly
· Operations certification for telescopic handler operations or forklift truck operations is desirable
· Good manual handling skills
· Knowledge of following written risk assessments and method statements is desirable
· Previous quarry experience would be an advantage
· Full UK driving licence is required for this role
