Mark Ketcher General Haulage went from strength to strength, growing from one tipper to a small fleet of tippers. From small golf course landscaping projects to larger former landfill sites for Biffa. Mark Ketcher General Haulage expanded from haulage to operating inert landfills and hauling muck. After running for a few years he out grew the sole trader status to form the NRS Group in 2005.
In 2011 the opportunity to purchase Saredon Quarry arose.
Now running a large fleet of vehicles ranging from tippers to concrete mixers, NRS run some of the largest inert tipping facilities, quarrying and recycling aggregate production operations in the midland and employee over 130 members of staff.
Mark had often referred to his business as his ‘ hobby’, which has enabled him to grow, whilst still enjoying his business. With a strong feeling towards treating people how he’d like to be treated NRS has a very low employee turnover.
Mark believes NRS are nothing without their staff and customers and strives to offer the highest quality service from the very start to the very end of each job we undertake.
See the NRS History timeline and Mark being 4th generation to work in the haulage and quarrying industry.

Formed in 2005 by Mark Ketcher, initially focused on landfill site restoration, soon moving to recycling and disposal of waste.

We enjoyed a close working partnership with Biffa in our early years, purchasing Saredon Quarry from them in 2012, which allowed us to offer quarried aggregates and waste management services.

In 2014, we invested in our first recycling facility and landfill site, Meriden.

In 2015 we started our own ready mixed concrete business - Midland Mini Mix. Starting with two trucks, our fleet now stands at seven - and we’re still growing!

2017 has seen more expansion, with our out-of-hours concrete service taking shape, allowing us to begin serving rail and road industries, offering coverage to customers nationwide.

We purchased Woodcote Quarry, which started operating by mid-2018.
