NRS Environmental Services is part of the NRS group of businesses. Based at Meriden we accept hazardous and non-hazardous wastes for treatment and reuse from the construction and demolition sector. As a result of our treatment processes, we produce aggregates for sale back into the sector.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a busy sales environment, would be advantageous however, full training on processes will be given to the right person.

The Role:
Working closely with the Operational, Technical and Commercial team to produce and prepare quotations for customers
Operating the weighbridge for incoming wastes and outgoing products
Managing a booking diary
Answering general telephone enquiries.
Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence,
Data entry, retrieval and database maintenance
Filing and archiving both manually and electronically.
Providing accounting administration support to the department for sales and purchase invoicing
Managing incoming telephone calls from new and existing customers including subcontractors and internal departments
Supporting daily planning and scheduling of vehicles for collections and deliveries
Completing internal daily reports (Excel)
General admin duties as required by the department
Using information collated for weekly and monthly reporting to the stakeholders
NOTE: Due to location of the site, own transport is essential.

The role will involve:
· Provide administration services and support to the Transport department
· Updating the bespoke computer system as required
· Handling incoming telephone calls from new and existing customers.
· Supporting daily planning and scheduling of vehicles for collections and deliveries as well as maintenance to ensure all bookings are accepted within a timely manner and information is recorded as required.
· Completing internal daily reports (Excel)
· Liaise with sub-contractors and internal departments

The role entails:
· Carrying out prestart checks to ensure that it is safe to operate the wash plant.
· Reduce contamination though effective production of aggregates.
· Minimise waste.
· Report any damage or defects to plant supervisor / site manager.
· Carry out regular maintenance, including visual inspections and greasing as per the maintenance schedule.
· Carry out repairs to wash plant.
· Produce various finished materials to company and regulatory specifications.
· Operate the wash plant in a safe, controlled and cost – effective manner.
· Support the wash plant supervisor in their duties or operating and controlling the production of sand and gravels.
· Work and operate the wash plant within quarry regulations 1999 and all other health and safety regulations.

Requirements:
• To hold valid licences and qualifications to commercially drive Class C, or Class C+E HGV vehicles, dependant on the position your appointed on.
• All HGV’s are fitted with digital tachograph units and drivers must hold a valid tachograph card and have a good understanding of the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations (561/2006) and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005.

Responsibilities:

• Plan routes with Management to meet delivery schedules and customer demand / requirements, i.e., avoiding schools and site restrictions to meet local planning restrictions and local preferred routes
• Document and log work/rest periods and travel spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report all defects, accidents, or violations to the transport managers promptly.
• Comply with company expectations, being professional at all times.
• Your hours of work will be 50 hours per week, worked flexibly between the hours of 6.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday and may be varied to meet the needs of the Company. Your working times will be determined by the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations (561/2006) and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005.
