An exciting opportunity has arisen within our family run business, for an experienced full time CREDIT CONTROLLER to join the finance and administration team based in Meriden.

Reason for vacancy
Our business has grown substantially over the past few years and we are expecting this to continue and we now require a full-time credit controller to expand our current credit control team.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
• At least 3 years’ proven experience of credit control
• A friendly approachable attitude to continue, strong business relationships with customers
• ‘Can do Attitude’
• Attention to detail and responsibility for all aspects of credit control including expected cash forecasting
• Willingness to be a keen team player
• Valid driving licence as some business travel and site visits may be required.
• Sage 50 experience is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel

The Role:
Full Credit Control duties for 10 trading companies with separate customer accounts with balances of up to £500,000.00

Duties to include:
• Take Debit of Credit payments when required
• Twice Monthly Statements
• Reminder and Debt Collection letters
• Credit insurance set up and administer
• Forecasting expected cash
• Verbal communication with customers for overdue amounts, and update the notes on the customer ledger/s
• General credit control duties
• Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of KPI’s
• Ad hoc finance and admin duties

HGV Tipper Driver

HGV Tipper Driver:

Requirements:
• To hold valid licences and qualifications to commercially drive Class C, or Class C+E HGV vehicles, dependant on the position your appointed on.
• All HGV’s are fitted with digital tachograph units and drivers must hold a valid tachograph card and have a good understanding of the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations (561/2006) and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005.
• Driver must be fit and able to carry out duties in accordance with HGV medical requirements.
• To attend and participate in any training required by the company to assist the company in maintaining current accreditations and future goals.
Responsibilities:
• Transport goods around the midlands and on occasions you maybe required to travel distances outside the midlands.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues ensuring vehicles are free from obvious defects and fit for use, you will also be expected to perform some minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Plan routes with Management to meet delivery schedules and customer demand / requirements, i.e., avoiding schools and site restrictions to meet local planning restrictions and local preferred routes
• Document and log work/rest periods and travel spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report all defects, accidents, or violations to the transport managers promptly.
• Comply with company expectations, being professional at all times.
• Your hours of work will be 50 hours per week, worked flexibly between the hours of 6.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday and may be varied to meet the needs of the Company. Your working times will be determined by the EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations (561/2006) and Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005.

Due to expansion of our fleet and growth of our transport department we are excited to offer the opportunity to join our established transport team.

NRS currently operate a mix of over 30 articulated and rigid tipper vehicles.

The right candidate will:
• Be working as part of an experienced transport department
• Be responsible for transport planning of both rigid and articulated tipper vehicles to maximise efficiency and earnings using our in-house job system
• Be responsible for communicating with customers to ensure the highest level of service
• Have strong negotiating skills
• Have a positive working attitude and able to work under pressure
• Have previous industry experience (knowledge of Drivers Hours, tachograph)
• Have Experience in Word, Excel and Outlook

• Produce various finished materials to company and regulatory specifications
• Operate the plant in a controlled, safe and cost-effective manner
• Work and operate the plant within the quarry regulations 1999 and all other health and safety legislation
• Flexibility for working hours and willingness to work long hours when required to and at weekends
• Have a sound appreciation of health and safety, goof housekeeping and environmental regulations.

• Be able to carry out instructions in a timely manner as given by the wash plant supervisor / line manager
