The Business
The business is a multi-site Group of Companies operating in the West Midlands construction materials sector. A family run business expanding quickly, developing existing assets and looking to extend its market position through new sites and products. The growth is necessitating a transition within the support functions to meet the needs of the expanded business and satisfy the requirements of the Directors and investors.

The Role
The Finance function has already seen considerable change. There is a need to stabilise the existing activities and review systems and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the growing business.
The Group is seeking a finance professional to support the leadership team in stabilising and improving the processes, mentoring the junior members of the team and upgrading the management information being provided to the operational management and the investors.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a change process within a dynamic and growing business.

The Person
The person should be a trained accountant with experience of:
• Production of monthly management accounts
• Providing insightful analysis of the figures
• Balance Sheet reconciliations and review – debtors, prepayments, creditors, accruals, fixed assets, VAT and Aggregates Levy returns
• Consolidation of a Group of companies
• Management of a small team
• Interaction across business functions and operations
• Systems implementation and process improvement
• Promoting change in a fast-paced environment
• Construction Industry (preferable)

They will be a team player, prepared to roll their sleeves up as necessary in a small finance function to get the job done whilst laying the foundations for improvement and growth. Must be able to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

HGV Fitter/Technician

An opportunity has arisen for NRS Group of Companies for a HGV Fitter/Technician. NRS specialise in aggregates supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands. Based in Meriden, NRS have recently built a bespoke workshop to enable us to maintain our 40 strong fleet of 8-wheeler tippers, artic units, volumetric concrete mixers and various cars/LCVs.

The role entails:

To complete periodic safety inspections, writing reports, rectification of faults found, carry out routine servicing, MOT preparation/presentation, fault diagnosis using plug in diagnostic equipment and other duties relating to the maintenance of the fleet. On successful application you will report to the workshop manager.

The successful candidate should have :

• City and Guilds part 1 & 2 / BTEC /IMI/ NVQ in motor vehicle management.
• IRTEC Certification
• HGV Licence preferably class 1
• Experience of plug-in diagnostics such as Eclipse and Volvo tech tool.

Hours of work:
Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00
Saturday 08:00-14:00
Overtime available

Based in Meriden, NRS have recently built a bespoke workshop to maintain our 40 strong fleet of 8-wheeler tippers, artic units, volumetric concrete mixers and various cars/LCV’s.

The role entails:

• Changing and fitting tyres for the fleet
• Undertaking regular fleet checks, including greasing and fluid levels
• Assisting in stock control, stock taking & stock rotation of tyres and general parts
• Assiting with breakdowns
• Providing support to the workshop including keeping the workshop clean and tidy
• General maintenance work
• Working in a safe and professional manner within the boundaries of the company health and safety policies, current HSE guidelines and any additional site restrictions

The successful candidate would need to be enthusiastic and hard working with a flexible approach to work. A full UK driving licence is essential for the role and will involve working weekdays as well as weekends. A mechanical background and a mechanical interest is essential for this role.

An opportunity has arisen for an Aggregates Sales Representative based at Meriden, you will be required to travel around the midlands area.

The role will entail:

• Developing and Maintaining Sales prospecting plans including identifying and securing targeted opportunities using own initiative
• Assisting and developing Marketing Campaigns
• In depth knowledge and understanding of our product ranges – training will be given
• Completing necessary administration to ensure the customer records system is accurately up dated

The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to plan, organise and prioritise their own workload.
